What we collect, and why
Server log data
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Serving a page necessarily involves processing technical connection data — IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, and the time of the request. This data is used to deliver the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a functioning, secure website.
Audience measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — which pages are visited and where visitors arrive from. It does not set cookies and does not build a profile of individual visitors, which is why this site shows no cookie banner. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.
Enquiries
If you write to us through the enquiry form, we process the details you provide — your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, and the content of your message — in order to respond. The legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services. Providing a telephone number is optional. The same applies if you write or telephone us directly.
Please do not send sensitive personal or financial details in a first message; we will agree a secure channel with you as soon as we are in contact.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors, each bound to process personal data only on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and audience measurement. Processing may take place outside Switzerland and the EEA, safeguarded by standard contractual clauses.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — transmission of enquiry-form submissions to our office. Brevo is a French company and processes this data on servers within the European Union.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Retention
Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where a mandate follows, for the periods required by Swiss retention and professional obligations. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained only for a short period in the ordinary course of operating the site.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data deleted where we have no continuing basis to keep it; and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where the GDPR applies, you also have the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland, the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
To exercise any of these rights, write to office@bollag.ch.
Security
This site is served exclusively over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.
Changes
We may update this notice to reflect changes in how the site works or in applicable law. The current version is always the one published here.
